Set in 7 acres of lands sits a very beautiful house.
The house is of wooden construction surrounded by forest, fields and lakes.![]()
It was purpose built in 1977 as a bed and breakfast establishment.
The current owners also did evening meals.
The house as been built using entirely natural materials and careful considerations has been given to keeping it in tune with the environment –
“ une maison biologique”- an ecological and environmentally friendly house.
The walls are made from solid planks of Siberian larch , which is water-tight and safe from insect attack ; the insulation is cork and the wood is treated with boron salt and linseed oil.
The house was deigned using the golden proportion principle which creates a spacious dwelling with a harmonious and peaceful atmosphere.
The house itself has 300 sq .metres of area and is arranged as follows:
A veranda overlooking magnificent countryside, an entry area, an open-plan living room with a fire place, a dining room and a kitchen;
A corridor leads off the living room to another room, which is now the studio of the painter, a utility room and a toilet.
In addition, there are the private quarters for the owners which include a large bedroom, bathroom and two dressing-rooms.
There is a terrace which goes around the house from which you can enjoy views of the surrounding countryside-woods, lakes and valleys.
You will be amazed at the peace and silence of the place.
First floor: designed as the bed and breakfast guest area.
There is a spacious mezzanine guest sitting area and the three guest bedrooms give off this space:
“Ancolie”, which faces east with a double bed , bathroom and balcony;
“Hélianthème” , a family room with three single beds and an ensuite bathroom;
“Eglantine”, which faces west and as one double bed and ensuite bathroom and another bedroom adjacent which as two single beds. These two rooms make up a family suite with an interconnecting door and balcony which runs the length of the two rooms.
There are numerous windows, veluxes and French doors which give the house a feeling of space and light everywhere.
The central heating is provided in two ways: Firstly there is a “marmite chaudière”, (a cauldron shaped wood-burning store in the fire-place) which heats the 13 radiators in the house and secondly there is a “chaudière” (boiler) run on propane gas which heats the hot water for the bathrooms, etc, and take over from the marmite when the fire went out.
The gas tank is underground near the parking space.
A large basement of around 100 square meters is arranged in 5 rooms.
There is parking space for 5 cars outside as well a wooden garage (30 m2) which takes two cars, a tractor-mower and garden equipment.

The Bed and Breakfast business:
The house was purpose-built for B&B. We started in 1998 and was classed
“ 3 épis” by Gîtes de France. We are also feature in 4 French B&B guides, one Dutch one, and in Alastair Sawdays’s Special Place to stay in France.
Unfortunately I had to stop the activity in 2009 after the death of my wife.
We were open from March to November. We had a loyal clientele who returned regularly, as well as new guests every year. The business is thriving and can start again quickly because there is a great demand for B&B.
The price:
Offers around 395.000 €
It includes the land, the house, the garage, the B&B equipments for the bathrooms and the mezzanine floor.
Telephone us or send an email to book a room so that you can see the property, or to find out more about it.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
